Tech article
In a article from Discover Magazine titled, "The Graffiti Code Breaker", police in several different cities have started a program with new software that tracks graffiti and it's street language. Although in the early stages, in the future it appears this will help track gangs by the similarities of the writings and it's so called author. This should, in the future, help police cut down on gang violence. The software, called GARI, deciphers the scrawling and compares distinguishing features, including color and shape. It may take time, but this software could in time, go along way in controlling gang violence.
I have used computers more and more over the last five or so years. In the past, some of the machines I have operated, were beginning to use computers. I have really began to use word, excel, and other software since I started school in June of this year. I found to excel(get it) in college, you must use these and other software. In my CIS class yesterday, we actually created a powerpoint presentation as a class, which was fun, yet very education. I have a webhosting business, which I believe this and other things I learn as I work towards my degree will help me succeed in this business.
As this is my first week back to school and I am enjoying two computer classes it is too early to comment much on this or any other class I am attending, but I am confident I will enjoy my teachers as much as I did last term. So far the teacher I have had have been great with the exception of one really hard grader. I guess that person was just trying to prepare us for the next level of the subject.
a great day
