Ray Kurzweil
As Ray Kurzweil has developed the various things over the year makes a person believe that there are people in this world that want to make the world a better place to live. He is a author, inventor, and a futurist. The many different things he has been involved with in the field of technology is something that might not have developed till later years.
I guess you would have to call it fate in the fact that his parents barely escaped Austria before World War II. He seems have, in his early years, have set the tone for what he would become after his uncle taught basics of computers and as they say, away we go. Writing his first computer program at fifteen and two years later winning a science competition is hard to comprehend.
Ray has over the years started and sold several companies which most people would be lucky to start one and keep it for their lifetime. Again the things he has developed for not only the future of technology but to name a few, the blind, dyslexia, and ADD shows the drive and imagine that this man has.
This man, some would call a genius, i would have to call a driven. He has written numerous books and won too many awards to keep track of. He continues to look to the future for ways, with technology, to make this place we all call home a better and simpler place. I will try to keep up with the new and amazing things we continues to develop.

Why I am interested in LinkedIn

Due to the fact that I have a web hosting business that I am developing, I am interesting in getting my name and business out on this website. Not only should I be able to create business, I will be able to see what kind of jobs might be out there and prospective employers will be able to see me.
 Company Background
  • LinkedIn started out in the living room of co-founder Reid Hoffman in 2002.
  • The site officially launched on May 5, 2003. At the end of the first month in operation, LinkedIn had a total of 4,500 members in the network.
  • As of June 30, 2012 (the end of the second quarter), professionals are signing up to join LinkedIn at a rate of approximately two new members per second.
  • The company is publicly held and has a diversified business model with revenues coming from hiring solutions, marketing solutions and premium subscriptions.Power of Women Exchange

Flatworld.docx

As I read this article, I too agree with most of what the author says. As the technology world continues to evolve, we must make it easier to communicates with others, whether it be personal or business. Due to the fact that the last 4 or so years has been close to a depression, we must make the technology world as efficient as possible.

Skank blog

Google revealed identity of blogger Rosemary Port, who now plans to sue Web site. >
Social Media and Privacy

In this day and age of social media, we are finding that you must me very careful how mush personal information you post on the different sites. In this case, I believe Post had the right to post comments about Cohen. In this country, freedom of speech is a fundemental right. The fact that a judge made Google give up her name is ridulous. I am not sure Google is the problem but instead the judge that handed down this decision. It proves that we may not be as free of a country as we all believe.

Blogger dies of heart attack

It appears to me that this person, Andrew, was a early shall I say pioneer of using the blog for posting views, whether it be politcal or any other subject. He tended to ruffle feathers of alot of people. The fact that he used hidden cameras was pretty smart, although it appears he might have edited some. I do believe this country needs more people to try to bring cover ups and poltical wrong doing to the surface so the people know what is going on.

I am a person that has never spent much time on the computer for games. Second Life is very strange to me, but the fact that I just started exploring it leads me to think that I will look into it more. I can see where it should help me learn more about virtual internet. I am having a hard time dressing my avatar, but I think it should be fun trying all the different things I can do with him. I also think this something my wife would enjoy.
As we go through each day and week, I am sometimes overwhelmed but feel good in the fact that I feel like I am being challenged each day. The things I have already learned have encouraged me to work hard and to learn as much in the time I have in this class. I have no doubt I will come out of this class with a better understanding of computers. I have enjoyed the class interaction and help from my peers.
